Shanghai is my 'hood. I grew up partly there and while I don't like living in big cities in general, I don't mind Shanghai. It doesn't feel like a big city to me (even though it's 18 million people). It just feels like...an old home. Anyway, my old home is really Westernizing and ramping up the tech.

Mag Lev is now in Shanghai.

It was broken when I was there last summer but it's opening (sort of again) this Chinese New Year. Which means my mom, who is currently in China, will get to have a go on it probably. Cool.
