Kitchen Confidential, which I've just mentioned, is good. So good, in fact, that I just felt like I had to blog about it before I'm even done. It's just so amusing and fun. It's not deep (though in a culinary sense, there maybe some sort of gritty Zen to what he's saying), and it's no-holds-barred fun. Hey, your butt's not getting slapped by Mexicans, Anthony Bourdain's is. It's all fun. I'm enjoying every minute with the book and most of the time, I have a grin on my face. A grin that is by turns cheerful, surprised, and sadistic...much the same way the book is. What fun.
