As opposed to Electro-Magnetic Pulse, this thing, seen over at Gizmodo does what I've been wanting a TabletPC to do ever since the TablePC came out: electronic music composition! And not in the Finale style of using the mouse/keyboard/keyboard(piano wise) either but using a writing utensil. It's a $1200 machine devoted ONLY to composition though. While I'm sure it may be a worth investment for the profusely bleeding edge of high tech comp people out there, it's still a little bit limited for general use. I still want a TablePC that can let me compose on it, rather than a composition PC that does not let me do anything else with it, much less table it hip-hop styles. I want the ability to be walking around with a Tablet for a presentation (wirelessly connected to the projector) while having the sketches I do on e-manuscript paper parsed and rendered as purty standardized notes on the screen. Oh the teaching potentials...Such a technology would be unmatched save for the various kinds of borad we have come to know (black and green and white come to mind).
