Snatch, Lock, and Two Smoking Pigs
Snatch (2000): Bunches of people do bunches of deals, things go wrong, can't understand Brad Pitt, hilarity, murder, fast talking, and confusion ensue.

Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels (1998): Bunches of people do bunches of deals, things go wrong, there is no Brad Pitt, hilarity, murder, fast talking, and confusion ensue.

Are they the same movie? Just about. Guy Ritchie directs both and a staggering four main characters are in both: Jason Statham (Turkish Bacon), Alan Ford (Bricktop Alan), Vinnie Jones (Big Bullet Tooth Tony Chris), Jason Flemyng (Tom Darren). Same types of aliases in both (Doug the Head, Boris the Blade, Nick the Greek), same types of overlapping mistakes/coincidences in both, one features an 84-karat diamond, the other two antique shotguns. One's got Hatchet Harry, the other's got Bricktop. I have a sneaking suspicion that the only real difference between the two movies is the only real difference between my synopses above: Brad Pitt and no Brad Pitt (and a hilarious Benicio del Toro along with BP as well). One for the Brits, one for us Americans?

Similarities aside, both are fun to watch. Just don't watch them back to back or you won't be able to keep the memories of the two from conflating.
