Cream-filled snack of DOOM
Not to diminish the significance of many lives that were lost recently or anything (Haiti, Iraq) but in such depressing times, one must not also lose sight of the little people. So it is in all seriousness and absolutely no seriousness at all that I bring you this piece of sad news: Twinkies are bankrupt! What this means for the fate of those cute little yellow suspicious-white-substance filled lard bombs, I don't know. But prospects look good:
"By filing for protection under Chapter 11 and obtaining the DIP (bankruptcy) financing, the company should have the liquidity, time and resources necessary to thoroughly identify, assess and address the issues that will enable this company to be successful in the future."
Fear not America for our obesity will continue unhindered, even in the face of bankruptcy!

Krispy Kreme also seemed financially shaky a few months back. Damn the sinister cult of Atkins. I think they (CoA) was partially responsible for the horrendous beverage at KK, which was, in essence, liquified original glazed doughnuts.

Also, great photos!

Ugh. Sorry for sullying your pristine "comments" section with such a grotesque grammatical error. I assure you it was unintentional.

Hay. Do'nt mind me. Im produkt of sperior ivy leag educashun. I have lurned to b nice to peopl.

The Atkins philosophy does make sense: stop eating easily metabolizable (is that a word?) foods and you won't have so much excess energy to turn into lard. On the other hand, the way some people apply it (let's east a bacon-mayonnaise-cheddar-ham-sausage-egg sandwich because it's low in carbs!) is a bit questionable.

Glad you enjoy the photos!
