Sat around in Music 15 today (a class I'm TAing) and had my camera so decided to take some pics. Continuing my obsession with close ups and patterns. First up is the brick wall of Lotte Lehman Concert Hall (where we have the class/lectures).

And then one of the hand rails along an entrance:

I'm still at the not-cropping stage. I'm starting to get the hang of getting the colors I want, and there's a lot less photoshopping afterwards. Important note to self: always check the white balance if you don't want bizarre color tinges. Second note to self: use manual focus if you don't want the laser cross-hatch AF pattern to be annoying.

I think you are improving. I have the same camera as you. I haven't ever messed with the white balance or many of the other settings. I just leave it on the "green camera" setting and go.

Thanks. I find that the "green camera" setting works surprisingly well a lot of times, and took better pictures than I did at the beginning =)
