The very fact that I'm noting that this is the 300th post is sort of a solipsistic strike against the point of the blog: a kind of multi-media personal journal that doesn't assume any sort of readership or interest to people other than me and perhaps a few friends. Oh well. Chalk it up to ego. But an important event did occur recently in my life: I got my car back from the shop! The passenger door had been hit soon after I got it and it has just been fixed. It's so purty =) It was raining the day I got it back, hence the rain shot in the parking lot.
End of the week for me is Thursday, usually. Seminars are done, obligations fulfilled, I kick back Thursday night before resuming work Friday. Got back from school today and drove down to West Campus of UCSB and walked to the ocean. The plan was to read some more of "Wicked" and catch some pics of the sunset. Had to get an aggressive shot of the car in the parking lot though.
It ended up being pretty windy so I tried to move around to keep warm. Took a shot of the UCSB campus from a different perspective (I usually shoot from the East, this was from the West).
Got to the sunset finally but there ended up being clouds in the way. Shoot. This is an earlier shot before the sun hit the horizon. OK, back to being far too busy.

Ever thought of getting a personalized license plate? >)

Kathy: the beach is less than half a mile away from me and I rarely go! I'm even more guilty, if distance to and frequency with which one should visit the beach are to be inversely proportional.
Shryh: YES! My lord yes. I thought of getting "///M.A.6" (too many tangents between me and sooms) on a euro-style front license plate. But a combination of laws (I'm *supposed* to have a normal license plate on my front bumper) and finances (30 bucks for such a frivolous thing seems somewhat expensive...but then again the entire car is frivolous) have conspired to keep that at bay. For now =P
