Saw over at The Dude's Blog that "Blog " is the number one word of the year. OK, I buy that, but why is "defenestration" number 10? I've always loved this particularly descriptive (and in most cases hilariously injurious) term but why have we the people been using it so much in 2004?

I can't believe it happens so much that we need a word for it.

Seriously. Why don't we just throw that word out the window? >)

Defenestration is a crime in Singapore, punishable by jail and a hefty fine. For real! It's as illegal as hanging your underwear on a pole from your 22nd floor apartment to dry.
