Braved rush hour traffice through LA (stupid me, sorry A) to get to IKEA and get me some shelving. The one on the left is Flärke, an item missing from the online catalog. It's an $18 shelf and yet very sturdy and better than any option one could find at staples. One on the right is "Enetri". A big 5 1/2' x 5 1/2' (about) shelf (13 inches deep!) for $50. What a blessing for poor grad students!

Nice! I desperately need bookshelves here and at home. Shipped a couple of boxes from the US back in 2003, and they've been sitting on an old sofa at home ever since with a cloth over them to prevent the sun from bleaching their covers. I die a little inside everytime I go home and see that little mass grave. And there are more coming.
