I don't think my body's built to go past 12 miles. Oh well, let's ignore that fact. Ran mucho mucho hills today too so 9:30 seems like an ok time. Legs feel much more normal than after the 12 mile run which broke my left calf last time. And feel encouraged that I can pull off a 13.5 after 2 weeks of no running. I'll be wicked sore tomorrow though.
Revelation of the day: hills make the runs sooooo much harder. Mile 11.25-11.75 was a big hill (hmmm..6% grade?) and I had to stop and walk for a few steps after making it up the top. Big Sur has a 2-mile (!) 4% grade hill from mile 10 to 12. Ooph.
Still. 13.5! Past the half marathon mark! Here's my schedule so far:
