Forgot this: long story short, I'm profiled as an iPod dork in the Santa Barbara News Press. Since I don't subscribe, I don't get to see the story in print and cling tangibly to what will likely be my 2 paragraphs of dorky fame. I am tech-ish person though so it's not beyond me to go to the site and hack through their subscriptions authentication[1] to pull out an electornic copy of the story.

So here it is. And I do not usually play the piano while listening to the iPod. Only when I'm playing along with a concerto or trying to feel out how other performers play a certain piece. And while we're nitpicking, I'm also not good enough to be called a "pianist" =)

And one more thing: just as I thought, "Mr. Ma" doesn't sound right at all.

[1] The authentication is based on a cookie that is written when you first sign up for electronic delivery. So that first step is checked against their DB. The problem is that there is a javascript function that checks the cookies (not a server sided page that checks the db) on every story page. So you're bounced to the scubscription page if you don't have the cookie. If you want a single page like me, just hit "stop" before the reload happens, save the page, and take out the javascript include that activates the authentication. I'm a bad boy.
