Start by removing the shifter. Stock shifters come off by just pulling really hard. Above is what it looks like after the shifter is removed.

Remove the boot by pulling straight up...there are four tabs which hold the boot in place. Finding those and pressing them would be safe but a straight pull often does the trick as well. Also remove the foam liner underneath.

Reach into the shift well and push up on the window switch to pop out the switch assembly.

Disconnect from wire and take apart switch. Clean as needed. Oh, and 400th post apparently.
